I just remember all the antennas I found were 4 foot and this was the most logical for me, drill hole in roof and bam get a pretty damn good signal. That one they give you is ok but the 9 ft cord is useless

 

You had to drilled a hole in the roof? Where did you end up coming up through?

 

Power went left to fuse panel and antenna cox went right under glovebox up pass a pillar to headliner then I reached the hole from the dome light with a set of ext long reach pliers

 

Too complicated for my feeble mind. I plan on joining ya'll and buy one of those radios but I will try to attach mine on the rear window....just stick it on right thur.

 

Window mount is another option

 

A guy at work told me that he got a Tacoma and is going to be paying for 84 months. I didn't even know that you could do ot for that long.

 

@Overkill07 have you done your 30k service yet? Plugs, front and rear diff change etc.?

Also what's the main benefit of that radio, is it the ability to talk to regular old walkie talkies?
