2003 Tacoma 4wd stick with the big engine. Had to have the clutch replaced. Just got it back from the shop and it appears to be leaking fluid around and beneath the transfer case. When replacing a clutch, does a shop normally have to remove the transfer case when they drop the tranny?

I wiped it down several times now and it's still leaving a six-inch puddle overnight. Could it be over-filled? But then why would they drain the gear oil out of the transfer case when doing the clutch? I'm just trying to avoid taking it back to them and having them say 'well bud, you need a new transfer case.' So I'm kind of looking for evidence of what really goes on in a clutch replacement. Watched some videos online and nobody mentions anything about the transfer case. But thanks for you reply.
