All gainz have been lost this week. We spent 2 nights in key west and both involved a lot of margaritas.

So after seeing my asshole co-workers walk in with McDonald's yesterday, I played with my macros and deleted some things to justify the 800 calorie lunch that is only a few hrs away :D

...basically, I can't eat for the rest of the day :anonymous:

Not sure if srs...I'm married, so I'm not looking to pick up chicks anymore, but from my observations, fit dudes do a little better in that department than big powerlifters. Granted, powerlifters are 10 times stronger, but, as I said, from my observations, girls like this:

    Opposoed to this:

I know my wife is only one woman in a world of them, but she thinks bodybuilders and powerlifters are gross looking. She didn't even like me at 209. She likes muscley, but ripped (180-200 lbs), so my goal is to go for that. I'm thinking if I can get up to a lean 210, she won't have any complaints though....When I was 210 earlier this year, it was about at 16-17% bf, so that might be why she hated that look lol.

I'm not saying it's all about getting girls. Folks need to pursue their passions, no matter what they are...I'm just saying, for me, aesthetics over errthang.

Can't turn down a good margarita!

I don't lift for sloots, I'm already married. But everyone is different guise. Some people wanna lift cars, some just want to drive them, hell I've seen a dude make love to his car. Let's just all celebrate everyone's differences.

I am not talking about being "fat," but obsessing over BF% or being ripped or vascular or whatever.

I would much rather be the bottom guy. I stopped caring about what women/other dudes think about 10 years ago. To me it's all about strength and power. Don't really care about aesthetics. Of course, I wouldn't want to be overweight to the point that it was "unhealthy."

Tacopaulo is right though. Let's celebrate our diverse, yet similarly masochist, sick and twisted obsessions.

Ahhh gotcha. My weight has been an issue for me my whole life, so I need to deal with that as well. Different goals.

Just messing with you man. We all have different goals, you're right. And we all should probably be doing cardio. I like prowler pushes or sled pulls myself. The treadmill is too stationary for me.

It's mostly about aesthetics for me. I want to look good. No woman has ever come up and asked how much I bench. I want to look strong. But, I want to be strong, too. Usually, I'm stronger than I look because I'm just not that big :(

I HATE cardio. But I've been doing 30 mins of intervals for the last couple months. It's terrible. And I'll probably continue it into my bulk so I might stay leaner instead of getting the big belly like I had at 170

Right. As long as you don't do Crossfit, you're welcome here.

I would've died. I don't do well with all you can eat or drink lol

    badass

reminds me of a story I read in M&F on the way to North Ga last Friday. This dude found out he had cancer and weeks to live and said, "fuck it" and went balls to the wall with his lifting.

EDIT: Here it is. Matt Klutka...he was 190 benching 405

You can lose weight and lift weights at the same time. It can even be argued that lifting weights is BETTER for losing weight than cardio

Same. That's why I'm so pumped about turning my garage into a boxing area. I was also thinking about getting a pushmower, but I cut our grass yesterday with a big stick steer and I didn't even finish...it's like 7 acres. I'd die with a push mower lol.

Yeah, when I told Amy I finally got 315 a few years ago, she was like:

Obsessing over anything is never good. I don't care what people think about my body but I know that most people dont get fat in a short period of time. The fat 50 year olds you see had the same mindset as many people I know. "I am not obese, just a little fat. I could lose it in no time if I just did some cardio". Fuck that. Losing 10lbs isn't easy. Why wait to lose fat? No reason to put yourself through trying to lose 30+ lbs later on. Its going to be much harder and take even more dedication.
