Toyota Museum goodness... Baja / BS / Tacoma World Museum, show us your vintage rigs!!!!

I'm going to add some pictures from the Toyota Museum I just visited. I had been learning about Baja racing and what this particular Toyota Baja truck did with Ivan Stewart driving it and it was really cool to see it up close in person. 17 Baja 500 wins and 3 Baja 1000's. That building is def hallowed ground if you love Toyota, anyone who likes this kind of stuff enjoy, feel free to add some vintage pics or BS of your own. All are welcome

Here's my vintage to add---1982 HiLux. Made over 500k miles with it in 3 different forms.....

Original body uncut......


Lowered and Convertiblized..........


uncut cab/bed swap and lifted to prerunner status............


Stayed like that until 2009 when it succumbed to progress. Sold it painfully after scoring a 2nd gen 05 AC prerunner.............


Oh yeah, it became a hybrid at some point...............

Love it! I have a huge passion for old toyota trucks, they are just cool (and bulletproof). Nice 2nd gen too

 

In Torrance CA, I got to go there for a training. its not open to the public through : ( just for Toyota events.

Thanks, that 05 lasted about 2 yrs until stumbling onto the 08 RC SR5 prerunner in 2011.......last yr to get 5 spd and buckets in a prerunner. Will try to be hanging on to this one as long as the 82..............

 

Nice, I like to think my little SR 4 cylinder has some connection to the older toyota trucks too. The 2.7 is a proven engine, I got 14k on it now and its been a very capable truck so far (shameless my taco plug, dont care love my truck) def have some tastes for the way they did the back to the future truck, going to try to make a roll bar (light bar really) soon with my new welder

Ive been a cronic photo taker of lots of cool older toyotas for a while now too, def going to acquire a project truck 4x4 for playing around with sooner vs later. thanks for adding your rigs guys, very cool
