2011 Tacoma windshields....Weak Glass?

    My 2013 just had a windshield replaced after 3 years of no problems.
    One cold morning in Vermont, with the truck idling high to warm up, the windshield just popped and viola a crack on an edge.
    I think every single Toyota truck I have owned has needed a windshield.
    My other cars have never had a windshield replaced (95 VW and 97 Honda) all original.
    @PackCon is on to something with conditions, road treatments etc.

    Toyota doesnt make windshields. Theres only a few companies that make them and sell to all the auto companies. Like the takata airbags that every vehicle manufacturer has that are being recalled.

    True, but Toyota or whoever specs the windshields out and the manufacturer makes the windshield to Toyota's specifications.
