chrome on Wheels is jacked up

    oil change...
    The chrome on my tires is starting to get jacked up. Its kinda like there is a clear cover on the chrom and its feeling off or pitting? IDK ill try and get some pics up in a little while.
    Has anyone else had this problem? Im thinking about maybe just powder coating them black

    yeah i would just powder coat them...it would feel like you have a new set of wheels...

    TRD Cat-Back, TRD CAI, 3" Lift, ATX Chambers, Color matched Grille and Door Handles, Scooped Hood, GrillCraft upper and lower, DTRL, Foglight Mod, Redline Hood Struts, 20% Tint all around, SGII, Blacked out dash, Extang Full-Tilt, etc, etc, etc.
    They usually don't coat chrome wheels. They look like polished wheels with the clearcoat that's coming off.

    That is the clear coat peeling. The lip of that wheel is a machined finish. Good luck painting as I am going through the same thing this weekend on a set of peeling wheels I have. I'm having mine lightly sandblasted(if there is such a thing) by a friend with a machine shop. They are getting powder coated black for final finish. Good luck
