Why get a new car if you don't need it? Like you said you've never had any problems so why replace it?

    However it's your money.

I just bought a 2015 after driving a 2016. How I came to that decision:
1 - My dad's Taco is a 2007 with 250k miles on it, and all he's ever done is tires and maintenance.
2 - All the negative reviews on the 3rd gen forum.
3 - Drove a third gen. If you drive on a lot of hills (they don't have to be steep), the shifting is going to drive you crazy. I'm gonna give them some time to work out the kinks.

Keep driving your truck until it starts giving you problems...by then the 3rd gen should be well sorted.
