This setup is awesome @ETaco23 , i am about to redo my rear suspension with OME Dakars and add 285/75/16's on stock rims as well. How does everything handle with this set up? What load range are the ko2's? Did you lose much power or fuel mileage?

Thanks for the time! - Pictures are great!

I love my Dakars. The only problem i ran into was the OME shocks are too short for the dakars. I was always topping them out. So i got Icon extended rear shocks, and got a spacer for the brake line brcket so i dont snap may brake lines.
The Icons ride slot better to, the OME shocks were too bouncy and soft. (I do have a canopy)
My 295 KO2 are E rated, i lost some mpg but its worth it. Didnt notice the weight difference much.
You'll need 1.25" wheel spacers for the 285's and stock wheels.
I planning on getting Icon front coilovers and JBA UCA's sooner or later. My front OME suspension has seen better days. Lol..

Thanks for the insight @ETaco23 , I've got everything all lined up, may need brake line extenders that's it. Might go with the nitro terra grappler old range D instead of the ko2's. Thoughts?

Also I believe the previous owner installed the ironman front spring kit on my truck anyone have any insight on how long the front suspension usually holds up for when driven pretty gently?

I have no experience with the Terra Grapplers, but they do get good reviews.
not sure about that suspension. should last awhile.

Are you running any spacers here?

Nope, I don't think so. I got 3/4" spacers now. And just ordered 1" spacers for the front, because my tires hit my new JBA UCA's at full lock.

And that was with the 285/75/16? Did you rub or hit anywhere?

Nope, I just had to trim a little bit of plastic and remove the front mud flaps with 285's. Even the 295's didnt rub anything with stock UCA's. But my UCA's and tire clearance was tight, so I got the 3/4" spacers.

This afternoon/evening i decided to get my AFE CAI installed along with my Intake Manifold spacer.
The 2 work together nicely. There was just one flaw on AFE kit with the air induction mount being to low. Had to drill a new hole so i could rotate it up alittle. Other than that it was easy

Since the CAI went in, I lost alittle MPG.. So I descided to get a URD MAF Calibrator to get the most out of my CAI and hopefully get some MPG's back.
Install was pretty easy. I can definitely feel a difference. Its quicker and keeps pulling. Instead of dieing off around 4k rpm. I just need to see what happens to my MPG's. :)
Maybe down the road I may get it custom tuned, but for now it will work.

Do you have updated pictures now with 3/4" spacers? I'd love to see how much they poke out now.

Now I have 1" spacers up front and 3/4" spacers in the rear. my front tires would hit my JBA UCA's at full lock.
i'll see if I have any pics.

How do the wide tires feel on a skinnier wheel? Do they feel wobbly at all?

They felt fine. I didn't notice any difference. They fit fine and actually look great. I like the look of the tire bulge when on a skinnier wheel. On my last truck I had 9" wide 17" wheels on 285's and it also looked good. It did feel alittle more stable in the corners but not drastic.

This is what I worry about. I'd hate to have something less stable.

Any updates on how this is working out. For cost vs output is it worth it?

Since install, Ive done one MPG cal. and it came out to 15 mpg
My ultra gauge is alittle off, it says my average is 13.8.
So I did get my mpg's back. But keep in mind ever since Ive done these installs ive been alittle more heavy on the gas. :)
It sounds great! So I would say if you have a CAI, its a no brainer to get the MAF Cal. it will help in the long run. You actually get the full potential out of your CAI.

Sweet, Im running a 265-70 bfg so the gas mileage isn't as bad just wondering if power gained is worth going this route and wether it hurt or helped mpg. Driving 150 miles a day so every little bit helps.
