Call them. Others have said that they're an awesome company to work with and they know their stuff when it comes to each individual bike and what your riding style is.

Calling would be a good idea.

I just put in different styles of riding. Then did all of those again with different riding abilities and messed with weight a little bit.

I'm sure I'm not alone but today I had a backpack with a laptop, and a couple bottles of groceries. My pelican case with ingredients to make chili and my tank bag with a couple with a couple energy drinks and the last of my groceries. Probably an extra 30lbs of stuff!

Other days I might not be carrying anything extra, makes a big difference and that's just on the street.

I was watching Hermit vlogger on YT for his reviews on the WR, DRZ, and the one comparing them. He basically said the same thing comparing the DRZ to a Wrangler (older technology but pretty bulletproof). He did say he actually prefers the WR over the DRZ when he goes out in the garage and has to pick but that the DRZ is great in its element as well.

Seems like it's a decision of if I want the WR for fuel injection, little bit lighter weight, 6 gears, or the DRZ for hill romping-type ability, more power, and from what I've heard, better suspension. It sounds like the WR is a better fit for me but we'll see.

I think the big draw to the DRZ is it's been essentially unchanged for what, 16 years now? There is nothing new and exciting about it, but there is 16 years and countless hours ridden on them so that any problem you encounter more than likely already has a well documented fix for it. It's like a 4cyl Toyota. Neither fast nor sexy, but it just works.

I set the spring length to minimum pre load, enough to clear the intake collar.

The wr is without a doubt a fantastic machine. I'd own one in a heart beat. I just could not justify spending more money on a smaller engine. They're too damn expensive.

If you get a heavier spring and keep it at stock settings, to me its sounds like its gonna be a stiffer ride without much give

I don't want it to hurt my back, i just want it to handle the weight of me and the bike better.

As it stands, stock, i bottom the front forks out all the time. And when i sit on the bike, it sags enough to make me go from tiptoe to flat foot
