    Adjuster called this morning to tell me he is going to total it out. He had it sent to a frame shop to confirm what Toyota already told him. Now that we're all moved out to Colorado it's either another taco or a t4r that will be replacing it.

    That truck would have never driven straight again...

    @SNOWTRD

    I think the majority of the issue is how low the Mini is... seemed to have hit the axle and perhaps the axle took every thing else with it lol.

    Some shyster shop will buy it in salvage and will make allot of money off that truck. Either that or it will get sold out of country where repair labor isn't in the equation.

    I cannot believe that they totaled it. That's going to be a real easy fix for someone. Glad you don't have to deal with the headache, and enjoy Colorado.

    This is the replacement for the taco. Gs350 awd. We looked at tacos and 4runners but decided to get something used and not have the car payment because we're looking to buy a house soon.

    Lexus didn't stay long. Picked up a 4Runner last weekend. A lot of my lighting mods from the taco were a direct swap to the 4Runner

    Lol. Nice man. I had a feeling it would have been totaled out. Seen same accidents posted before with totaled bring the outcome. 4 runners are badass vehicles..

    Toyota is not really known for throwing money on the hood to get rid of inventory. But you never know.
    I'd go with a double cab.
    The Ram diesel is pretty popular and I'm not sure you can get a great deal and is
    substantially more bulky to drive around town. Same comment applies to the Ford. If you go
    with the F150 go with the 5.0 and stay clear off the ecoboost. They have issues with carbon buildup.

    if you look at where the point of impact is, I'm really not surprised. The OP never said at what speed the
    impact was at. The mini still weighs around 2 000 pounds. If
    he centre punched the tacoma, I'm sure the truck would have held up a bit better.

    It was highways speeds. 55-65. His insurance also totaled his car out too.

    I'm glad you're ok and they are too. Still stinks. But there is lot of energy transfer between their vehicle and yours so I'm not surprised they bent
    the frame.
