The 2uz is one of Toyota's shining star engines. They have been very reliable with great fuel economy and long life. The Tundra that just went over a million miles was running........... a 2uz V8. The only thing the 2uz wasn't great at was power. 240-285 hp was on par with the times but really could have easily been higher with better tuning. Early Tundra and Landcruisers did suffer from a weak transmission, the a340. I personally wouldn't hesitate to buy a 4th gen 4runner V8 or GX470, they both came with the a750 5 speed automatic, might try for a later one with vvti though.

As beggars can't be choosers, my 4th gen 4runner is a v6, I think it looks great modded, stock they are blah.

I can always swing by his place whenever. But I don't think I'm going to make the meet tomorrow. Today was a 16 hr day and tomorrow is the same amount of work as today. I'll most likely have Sunday off. I can come by and get them from you.

Sounds good, I'll throw them in for Tim to take to Corey. I'll save Ray the trip until after my garage is built

My lack of health insurance (aka Obummercare) says no downhill action for me. But I will be at the REI demo day at Green mountain riding Dakota Ridge for a while.
