    On trail only bikes they're horizontally straight with the bars to protect against limbs and stuff better. The way yours are set up if you go down they're more likely to twist downward meaning they're not going to break stuff like they could if they were to twist upward in a crash and hit your bar mounted stuff. Just comes down to rider preference.

    Mine have to be straight with the triple clamp mounts, but they're not moving at all unless they break in half.
