Was in spot along the DE shore in some deep sand going up a hill to side road/exit its fairly easy to get suck. In fact a tacoma and jeep had to dig out earlier. Was playing around with 4lo/the terrain mode for shits and giggles.

    1. really freaking loud. Lots of clanking/clunking. Is that normal ?
    2. Was really cool seeing the car actually crawl / dig its way out. Had a few spectators.

You're not the first to ask that, but yes is loud. I just have trac (SR5) and it's not as loud but you can definitely hear it
    Enjoy
    Cheers!

Just saw a video of crawl control in action, pretty cool stuff, could see that coming in handy for those that are on heavy sand frequently.

Yeah, the first time I used it was at Fins 'n Things in Moab. I was about to go up a stupid steep incline and the front started slipping on the slickrock and rear dug into sand at the bottom. So I turned that thing on and after many weird noises that I thought was the traction system breaking, I was at the top of the hill. It's very cool, but sounds horrendous.

was my experience too. Thought my rear diff was about to explode. And then suddenly I was out of the deep sand up the hill I was stuck on. Wife and kids thought it was awesome and wanted to try it again.
