The other issue are some owners that have already ditched their 3rd gens may not even visit this section very often. Like @Member1Zillion from WY, he ditched his third gen a while ago. Too many skewed responses to use as a sole basis.

Try asking if the same question on a Glock forum, or 1911 forum... Same responses.

This thread is the equivalent of being on a Yankees Forum and asking if everyone likes the Yankees.

First Toyota, first Tacoma. Plenty of Ford trucks but I would buy it again in a heart beat! The EcoBoost trucks and aluminum bodies had everyone up in arms and now that some of the minor issues have been sorted out you don't see nearly as much drama on those forums. New models always have some teething issues but I have not experienced anything that would make me rethink my decision.

I think it would be fair to say that we only have one $hitty99 drama person inundating this forum with his personal axe to grind vendetta against
    Toyota.
I mean, over 3k post? Other ppl with issues do have gripes, but some are working to sort them out at the dealer and corporate, not flooding the forum with the same ole B/S.

    Hope that helps
    Cheers!

I really want a Quicksand OR, and every Toyota dealership in a 50 mile radius keeps hitting me up, but I can't justify spending $36k on a fully loaded truck that has transmission and rear diff issues. I have an 04 Accord with close to 150k miles and the most expensive thing I've replaced were the rotors that rusted while I was in training. I really hope they find fixes for the major issues so I can buy the next model. If not, I'll have to move to the Tundra.

Wait so you're saying that the multitude of complaints on this forum have impacted your decision to buy a 2016 Tacoma? That can't be, because The Hammer said the complaining is just a waste of time and nobody cares about the folks' who have issues with negative opinions and experiences.

Oh, YOU were who he was referring to, never woulda guessed haha. I've seen a lot of threads and posts by different people. Enough to make me rethink the purchase. Its the first model year, which always have issues though. We shall see what happens with the '17s.

I agree which is why my response to the thread topic was I'd probably hold off for a 2018 to see what they improve/change.:)

All I can assure you is that there is a $hitty99 person in this forum with a personal axe to grind and nothing better do than flood the forum with over 3k posts.
As far as the truck is concerned It’s rock solid. I’ve owned other Toyota trucks, and managed an entire fleet of various makes/model and size trucks, and this $hitty99 person is full of chit.
The '17 model and the models that will follow will be as solid as the '16 and sooner or later, the $hitty99 person will lose his marketing job bashing Toyota because nothing trumps a solid built vehicle

    Hope that helps
    Cheers!

Take a chance...You just might like the truck. If you don't, remember that's Tacoma's have high resale value.. so I wouldn't be too concerned.

Hell yeah! But the Pro in cement would have been nice in an access cab. I don't need 4 doors. But no regrets
about my TRD OR, it hasn't had one issue!

You bet I'd buy it again. I love pretty much everything about this truck. At least I will once I get the transmission flashed. It does amazing things! I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to anybody unless they want something bigger.
