Not gonna ignore you, I love watching ppl knocking themselves in futile endeavors.
And I’m gonna call you out on every single B/S lie you post.

My problem with the horn…Toyota’s not gonna make a different one, you’re problem?
You have an axe to grind, no one can help you.

And I do enjoy my truck exceedingly!
I hope you can get a job and can afford to buy a different truck and go bitch on their forum, not for my sake, I know what I have, but for others that maybe easily influence by your constant and annoying B/S

    Hope that helps you $htty99
    Cheers!

I'll keep my ears on it.

    Back on topic.
I have a SR5 4X4 DCLB No diff issues, my tires may make a little noise, but it's normal for all tires to make some. The type of surface, the road boundaries such a tunnels can make it seem like there's a problem till you get out and say huh? No more? Yippy!
Sometimes a wind gust underneath can make an odd sound

    Hope that helps
    Cheers!

It's a work in progress. See my build thread.
I was coming home last night, and *thought* I was hearing something, but was listening to the music, didn't give it much thought. Then I read this thread, got a little paranoid, and took it out for a drive today, no music. Realized I had left the rear slider slightly open . Closed it, and quiet as a mouse. V6 Sport, A/T. But only a few hundred miles on it.

Was fluid level ever checked prior to it making noise?

huh...Interesting question, or even if they had the right lubricant on a production run? Being that not all TRDOR are affected, I'd have to look into that possibility two. However, some with rebuilt diffs are still reporting noise, so I'd have to dismiss that too.

Edit: Only thing left in common is the tires, all the same and remain on the truck. But it just can't be that simple as Aussiek2000 has stock TRDOR stock tires and no noise?

    Puzzling to say the least.
    Cheers!

How does that explain my second rear diff going bad now? Because of that now I don't think fluid is the issue.

I swapped both diffs to redline synthetic around 2k. Quiet as a mouse.

I'm not touching the rear end at this point. One already had to be replaced. If for some reason they found out the diff fluid was changed they'd tell me to pound sand.

No he doesn't. Some of us do and some of us dont. Tires aren't the game changer except when the dealer has refused service on one guys truck because he had aftermarket tires.

In that case, your drive train warranty is good for 60k, in your case maybe more, lotz more, get some ear plugs & be happy

    Hope that helps

No. I have 33" coopers. My dealer's owner also owns a Toyota franchise, they won't deny me coverage

Unfortunately not everyone gets a free pass. Some dealers can be more forgiving than others. Ultimately they hold the right of first refusal.

Have you tried any other tires to see if the noise changes? Maybe a member local to you could swap tires for a few minutes

That would be worth trying for me, and you bet I'd try it, but if it's a solution for $htty99, he'll just cross his arms. In other words, not gonna happen for him, sad to say.

    Cheers!
