I did, but than I live in Canada. Have you tried auto trader? One can narrow down to what they want for their truck including distance away from your zip code.

So you can order a Tacoma from the factory? That's one thing I like about the Wrangler, the ability to custom order exactly what you want at no extra cost.

Yes and no. The dealer can place your order, but if it's a really odd combination, it may take months to get made. If ever.

Here in the Charlotte, N.C. area, both dealerships had a bunch of TRD Off-Roads and Sports. Every Off-Road that I looked at had the optional $650 towing package included. The one I eventually purchased also had the tri-fold tonneau cover with it, but I didn't "pay" for them. The "took off" the charges for both options before I started negotiating the price and even though I didn't buy one with the optional electronics upgrade, (heated seats, side mirror flashers, and whatever else it included), I believe I got a pretty nice deal.

Totally unrelated to your question but I agree with you on toyotas crappy inventory search. If you go on nissans site you can build a vehicle and search for exact matches in any distance you want, find out what dealer has them and view the window sticker. I once contacted a dealer and knew about a vehicle being shipped to them before they even did. I wish toyota would make their site more useful, its like toyota wants you to have to go to ever dealers website to try and find what you're looking for instead.

OP Sounds like you are talking about SR/SR5 with TRD sticker on the bed. Sorry if I'm wrong.

Toyota's site and process sucks. It's like they go out of their way to piss off customers.

Order and be done with it, get the truck combination you want. No additional tech with tow package should not take too long if you're looking for a DoubleCab shortbed. If you want a manual or access cab the wait might be longer.

Mine from order to delivery was 8 weeks but I got exactly what I wanted. It beats being frustrated searching through outdated inventories.

My wife and I searched dozens of dealer websites looking for the exact truck I wanted. A dealership won't --- and I understand why --- tell where you can find the exact truck you're looking for because of course they want to sell you one.

But I did have a salesman tell me that there were only two manual transmission four door Sports in Ontario and we found them both online --- eventually.

What we discovered was that some Toyota dealer sites are great --- others are very poor. Some don't show their inventory and many don't show prices.

I can somewhat understand not listing a price but to not have inventory online doesn't make sense to me.

So yeah, Toyota's web presence can be improved for sure.

The cheapest TRD OR DCSB I have seen thus far was at my local dealer. Orange, 6MT, ect and they had $34,999 on it when I stopped to look at it. Sticker was a hair over $35. It was located at Toyota south in Richmond, Kentucky if anyone is interested. They may have the window sticker online.
