Doesn't Firestone will do the lifetime alignment? That's who I'll use next time; not sure who Pablo did mine with.

Most likely the local NTB, as he knew the guy there. Lately though the guy has been letting him down I think. He mentioned the local firestone but his face told me to avoid that. NTB has an alignment plan too (not that I'm suggesting it, just mentioning it because they mentioned it to me). I think most of the big names like that are starting to do that to compete.

If Yelp is any indicator, the Firestone closest to me is hot trash - otherwise that lifetime alignment deal would be appealing.

That seems to be the case - lack of attention to detail has been leading to issues and having to redo the alignment all over again. He offered to warranty the other shop's work for me so I'd be covered if they did a crappy job, but Pablo seems like a straight shooter so I'm going to follow his advice and wait and get it done right the first time.

Firestone is hit and miss. The one I used in NOLA was amazing, never an issue. The two I've used here are less so. The one by Ridgmar mall can't do my alignment but have hooked me up with some other stuff so no complaints. The one on Cherry Lane has done 2 good alignments and one awful one. The bad one I told them that I had jumped a tooth on my steering rack and it needed to be reset. They gave it back to me with worse numbers, a tie rod maxed out and a quote for almost $1000 in work including the LCA balljoint I had just replaced. That was a different service writer than usual but if the normal guy can't get it right tomorrow I'll be trying the Lake Worth location. And I'll definietly be using Tandem when I put on Rokmen UCAs this summer.

I had Pablo at Tandem put a full OME kit from wheelers on my truck a month ago and they were great. There alignment guys... Not so much, once they get there machine it will be nice. I took it to my mechanic in Lewisville and they got it dialed in. Pablo Sad he'd work with me on my next mod to comp me for paying for two alignments. The drive was well worth it for me, 45-1 hour. Probably get them to do my ARB locker for me

I saw that. Looks like my incentive to get him to install extended brake lines is finally in! And whatever other quick things I don't want to do myself... Hmm.

For those that are further towards Plano, just want to let you all know to NEVER take your truck to Epic 4x4. I have had an absolute nightmare dealing with them on just the install. I had it done about 8 months ago and the truck would just consistently pull to the right. Of course they could not warranty anything since I brought in the kit. Gotta love learning that after the install.

Fast forward to today after dropping my truck off earlier at Lone star 4x4 in Denton (highly recommend this shop) and it turns out the idiots at Epic did not install the LR UCA's correctly and over torqued the crap out of the arms, which was one of the reasons the truck pulled so bad.

Just hope this helps everyone in the future if they are looking for local shops. This is the first truck I have ever lifted and definitely have learned a whole lot this past week of what to look out for in the future, if I ever decide to do this again.

Just noticed they had pics of my truck up on their Facebook page! So glad I was patient and waited for the guys at Tandem to get their alignment machine installed. I was the FIRST 2016 Taco they lifted, so it was a good experience for all of us. Pablo and Alex took their time and went out of their way to go over what exactly they were doing and why as they went. In the end the lift came out looking great and the truck drives smooth as butter! Now I've just gotta save a little cash and shop for some bigger tires!

Ya'll know of anyone in the Austin area that can install lifts? I'm not eager to try to do mine in my driveway

Look up Heart of Texas Off Road, there is a thread here and @Lars can point you in the right direction. There may be some members willing to help you out for beer and pizza or a small amount of coin, if you aren't a dick.

    Yes.
With the "Wheelers for Wounded Warriors" going on at Hidden Falls this weekend, no promises that anyone will be around, but there are a few guys in Heart of Texas Off Road Club who install lifts, or assist in installing lifts.
Best bet is if you can, come out to club lunch, which happens most Fridays at noon at Baby A's. 183/MoPac NW side.

Alternately head over to the facebook page and introduce yourself. :)

Just had my suspension swapped out with Tandem Auto and I am beyond impressed. From speaking with them prior to my install all the way to completion, all individuals were great to deal with. These guys are a top notch service and prices are very competitive.

It was worth the drive from Plano. Took them about 6 hours to complete everything.

I would have used them. I'm even farther, in Prosper/Frisco, but they couldn't get to it with my hectic schedule. I had a short window. But I'd use them in the future. Great communication
