I just want to get everyone's opinion that has a ultagauge on their first gen. I've been looking into them and I want to get one for my 99 SR5 Prerunner. What do y'all think?

If you don't have an obd2 scanner it's a pretty handy lil accessory

I think it's nice to have instantaneous and constant updates when driving. If you don't like the clutter of an Ultraguage you can also look into Scanguage. If you already have a mid grade OBD2 scanner, than there's no other benefit of UG or SG unless you want to glance at it every once in a while while you're driving.

Another option is a bluetooth OBDII dongle and the Torque app on your smartphone. I paid about $10 for mine on Amazon.

It can also pull CEL codes in addition to providing realtime information like the scangauge/ultragauge do. I find that I usually don't need that information day-to-day but it's nice to be able to monitor when I'm on the trail or hauling something.

EM plus. The MX 1.3 is better for the second and third gens, since you can program in a Transmission Temp gauge. This, unfortunately, isn't available for 1st gens. So just save a few extra bucks and go for the em pluss
