I paid 34,500 out the door for a fully loaded TRDOR.

I took a quick look at the wiring schematics for the clusters and there's only 2 connectors that plug into the meters. It seems like it would work, and the clusters are actually fairly cheap (250$ CDN) I'd say its worth a shot, but try another trucks cluster first for sure.

We have a red line in the LCD cluster that I would try if I knew someone with an SR in Calgary

This thread is about clusters isnt it?!

How does the toyota odometer programming work? Stored in IPC, BCM, ECM?

I specifically wanted the SR model and not the TRD mostly because I hate the push start feature. I'd rather buy the SR and add the features I want rather than buy one with what I want and added features I don't want. I like to tinker also so lol

I think we have identical trucks ;)
Real deference between sr vs sr5/trd sport is just shocks, radio, and trd stickers of course. Why pay extra 4K for that? My truck is completely capable doing what sr5 and trd sport can and I have more comfortable payments:)
    Trdor of course different story.

Difference is I help and add constructive comments/opinions, you just chime in and start shit or talk about stuff you have no experience with for no reason and are a douche in every thread you post in, I was just calling you on your sh*t. But continue to take my comments out of context ;)

Got everything you need in terms of power and tow.

BSM - dont' need it, rely on mirror.
Hood scoop - looks cool. Non functional.
400 Watt inverter - only works with truck engine on, no thanks
Climate control - never have used it on my other cars, just turn the vent off or fan down, just more to break in the long run.
Dash cluster display - Use pioneer nex radio which trumps factory with more functionality
Fog lights - better aftermarket lights available
Push button / remote start No comment :)
Some of the SR's are shipping with heated side mirrors which other models did not have.

I'm happy to save some cash on the unpainted bumpers because I plan on replacing them with quality aftermarket pieces.

I think these plus wire harness. Seems to easy, if total project would be around $500 I am totally doing it:)

Edit: actually, possibly some(at least one) of those modules already in.

does your sr have the buttons on the steering wheel needed to control the new cluster?

No they don't. I know some trucks didn't come with cruise control, mine did. The guys that didn't get cruise, were completely wired for it. All they had to do was install the little lever mounted on the steering wheel and they were good to go. Hopefully the wheel is wired for the cluster controls also.

Curious to know if it is.
I don't see the small display in the parts list.

I think one of these would be navigation for cluster display.
