concerned that the bent piece may break... does it plug in all the way without the case?

 

Its the little metal guide piece inside the plug thats bent over, which prevents the plug from going in all the way. The contact piece that takes the charge isnt bent. Its the same whether the case is on or off.

 

I was wrong, I just looked at it. It is the prong that is bent, on the left side. The right side is fine. Ill try to get a pic of it up.

Cant really see it well, but can use it as a reference. If youre familiar with the galaxy, the charger has almost a 2 part charging plug. The right side seems to be the actual charging bit. It still downloads and uploads to the computer. I was going to replace the plug portion, but we ended up getting new phones.

 

any idea what a place might charge to fix it? i saw the part is cheap

 

Honestly Im not sure. Never called or checked with anyone, I was just gonna do it myself. There are lots of you tube videos that show how to work on these.
