Looks like it's going to be a crappy day out tomorrow too. Seems like a good excuse to get a coat of wax on the Mini. It's a bit sad but the FJ has taken a bit of a back seat to the new go kart.

    Morning :)

Anyone know if any of the dealers offer seasonal discounts on parts / accessories? Used to buy all my parts from the U.S. but the exchange has taken away the cost advantage in most cases. With birthday and Father's Day coming up, my lovely wife is looking for ideas.

4WheelParts in Fredericton has some decent prices. I was shocked (sic) to see their price was better than Amazon.ca on Bilsteins for the back of my truck. Great online shopping and if you pick up in Freddy you can save the shipping. My shocks shipping was $36 but I just went up and got them at the shop.

Eastern Offroad in Quispamsis is my preferred shop to get work done.....And they know Toyota's inside out. The shop truck is a built 05 Tacoma. One of the owners is a Toyota guy. Prices on parts are iffy with them....But well worth checking because like many places they do have good deals now and then. Tough to beat online prices from larger vendors for sure.

If you are online shopping https://www.jbspowercentre.com/products are really good. Super quick delivery and free shipping a lot of the time. I bought an item from Vision X through JBs and it was here in three days from Calgary and free shipping. The $60US part from Amazon.com was going to be over $160CAD

Well, my cousin in FortMac got evacuated from his home.
He took the river with his boat, and parked the Tacoma in the center of a huge parking lot.
4 houses on his street didn't burn, lucky his is one of them.
And the Tacoma is fine too. Everything around the lot is burned to the ground !
    That's was a freaky night !!

The main thing is that he is safe (and the Tacoma).

New member from the Fredericton area looking for some advice on where to go for a lift and have it installed for a reasonable price and they won't try to sell me parts I don't need. I was leaning on using Bilstein 5100s to level out the front and I'm only increasing the tire size to 265/70/17 as i don't go off road that much, usually only in the fall during hunting season to go into the camp.

Out on the Hanwell is a new Bullet Liner place. The shop is owned by Brad Douthwright. Good guy. Brad owns "Eastern Offroad" and could steer you in the right direction. Should be a sign up now almost to the Mazerolle Settlement Road. This is a new store. His first store is in Quispamsis.

You can try 4 Wheel Parts too. The parts prices are good there but I have no experience with who does thier installs. I moved back to the Hampton area 5 years ago and get all my work done at Eastern Offroad.

After you had your lift done what were you able to get for Alignment specs?

No idea....I have it checked every year but since I don't wheel much anymore it never goes out any. Tires wear perfectly. For a nine year old, 300.000km truck the old girl works pretty darn good and goes down the road like a new one.
