    Oh hell no!!! We are above the knat line. I couldn't live with them. We stopped in Cordele once at a market, my wife was in tears laughing as she watched me load our loot while swatting and cussing profusely.... Gradually gaining in vulgarity and volume... Of course she was inside the truck already. No one should live there. Chewing to breathe is just wrong. It has to be a miserable existence.

    I have a question... I my 4.0 09 has 124k on it and I'm getting a groaning kinda sound between 50 and 65 mph. I thought it might be a bad pulley at first because it was first noticeable with the a/c on. I later noticed it does it with out the a/c, too. I also determined it's relative to wheel speed, and not rpm's. Any ideas? I'm guessing: tires, carrier, u-joints, :notsure:... Tia for any help.

    It's much less obvious when the a/c is off.

    It's not the rear end is it? Mine was making a whining noise (not really a groan) at about the same mph range which was 1500ish rpm. There was a tsb for the rear end doing that.

    Not sure, honestly. It is getting progressively worse. I might have to take it to a mechanic to get it checked out. I do not want to do that. I don't know one I can trust.
    I will try running with out OD for a minute then let it shift to 5th and see what that sounds like. I've heard a bad rear end before, this does not sound like that.
    I did notice the front tires have a little feathering to them. I'll rotate this weekend and see if that's it. I'm due for oil change and grease anyway, might as well make a morning of it!

    How about wheel bearings? That would probably cause a groan & wear tires.
