Holy $hit. Do these threads really pop up daily? I've only been a member for a day but lurked for a couple days before that. I thought it might've been an anomaly that daily something like this popped up. I thought wrong, I guess.
You can go through the sticky section or use the search function to find out how you can make your taco look better.

My bad, maybe it's 2 days. But I've spent the time contributing to tech questions and diagnosing. The other look stuff should all be found in the sticky section, as explained in the message when you join. It clutters up this section. I just seemed odd that this many how do I make my truck look cooler threads would pop up in a day. Maybe that's normal here.

I havent been a member long. But i tend to avoid threads that dont interest me rather than have a melt down over it.

I might've misunderstood the type of forum this is, or maybe the sub-forum. Is there a more tech oriented sub here that I missed? Or is it all lumped together here with the other stuff? I didn't think it was a meltdown, more of a shocked reaction. But either way, I thought it was more of a tech type deal. And it definitely wasn't a dig at anyone specific. I got it.

    ...we'll get there.
    welcome!

you'll see that people take many different approaches to personalizing their trucks. take a look for other people's builds and start noticing what you like or don't like about them. don't jump into anything too quickly, and do a lot of research. you may find that it's an easy job, that it was a totally custom job, or you may find something even better along the way.

are there things you don't like about your truck right now? too high, too low, doesn't have accessories you've always wanted.

i started with things like deep cleaning (seats out, dash apart), poked around and made lists of things that i wanted to attack (battery terminal connectors, tie rods, timing belt, etc). I put everything in a spreadsheet in three columns: immediate, soon, someday. immediate things were cleaning, brakes and tie rods. soon were timing belt, paint touch-ups ets. someday were things like tube bumpers, a good winch and some light bars...things keep getting added and moved around. if you put prices and links to the things you want it's easy to make quick progress. I also keep track of the things i've done, how much they cost, and the time it took to do them.

when you see things you like around here look for a pre-written up post, and if you don't see one ask the owner for more info.

    we're friendly around here

Welcome to TW, as stated above if you just got your truck I would make sure all your maintenance is up to date first things first. Then start to throw money at it for modifications. Without really knowing what direction your looking to take your truck here are a few popular threads that you can get some ideas from. Have fun in here, it's addicting! and post some pics of your truck ;)
