As previously stated, I just bought a used 97 Tacoma, 2.4L. 140k Found an issue with the frame rusting. The right rear shock mount, located inside the c-channel frame, had rusted off and the rust had eaten through the C-channel as well. I spent about 4 hr. prepping and welding a patch on it. I used the old shock mount, with some modifications, and fixed it. I like this truck, nice and simple. It does ride stiff though. I have a lot to learn about this truck. It runs good.
