I looked around but didn't see a thread with my specific problem. However, if i missed one feel free to point me to it.

    I have 2006 Tacoma 4.0. 160,000 miles, manual transmission

I changed spark plugs about 2-3 weeks ago. About a week after that I noticed when I would get rpm's to 3000 or up truck would lose power suddenly. RPM's would stay relativity stable it would spudder a couple times not die then I would down shift or let off gas and it would go away. Started doing it a little more frequently then went out at lunch to start it and it wouldn't start. Optima battery is good. Checked air filter doesn't look bad at all. Cleaned mass air flow in the past couple of months. It has done this over 3 fill ups now so not thinking it was just bad gas.

To me this seems like it has to be fuel pump/filter.

Any other ideas i may have overlooked?

Has anyone done the URD mod that changes fuel pump to frame rail versus in tank model? Good or bad?
