What's a good company to go with for a half inch body lift? Anybody have a link?

Can I do a 1 inch without extending the steering shaft and whatever comes along with a body lift?

When I did my lift on the 1st gen Taco it did come with a steering shaft spacer. I did a energy urethane body mount replacement 1"body lift. Not sure on 2nd gens.

I was hoping that I would be able to buy an all new body lift with bushings that were a half inch bigger that way I could accomplish the height that I'm looking for and also potentially get a little bit nicer ride from having brand-new bushings

Toytec has a 1 inch body lift for 2nd gens. You will gain a bit from an energy suspension body mount replacement, but that will go away overy time. Really you need about 1" to help offset the trimming you have to do for 35's. Anything less is pointless.

You have a link to the body mount bushings? I would like to swap mine out for the enter your suspension, if they aren't too expensive.

Is a 1 inch body lift small enough that I won't have to do any additional mods? Or am I also going to have to get a steering shaft spacer and extended throttle cables and all that crap?

Either that, or I was thinking about doing 305s instead of 315s

Steering shaft spacer is a possibility, usually nothing else though. The steering shaft spacer is so easy it will anger you that the rest of the job is hard.

Well, after hunting around and doing some research on 1 inch body lifts it looks like it is going to be a $200 pain in the ass that will also require relocating my bumpers so that I don't have a stupid gap. So I think I might just throw a few washers in there to get a half inch body lift like @3378jakesr5 said and then do 305 tires instead of 315. Hopefully that will make it so I only have to do a small amount of trimming and also get the body away from those sliders little bit so it doesn't make noise anymore

Stacking washers is not advised. You are basically creating a 1/2" possibility of the body bolt coming loose with all of those moving washers. Not saying it will happen but it could. If you are going to go through the trouble to body lift the truck source some ploy rods and have someone cut them in 1/2 inch thicknesses so you at least have one solid piece in there. Or even some AL rod.
