Thanks. Work in progress. Got my OME coils and SPC UCA's to put on soon.

I've done aal a few times now and I've had really good luck with DuPont Teflon spray to get rid of squeaks:

The bike tube fix seems to work for people too

FWIW, I have the new recall springs with a Wheeler's 3-leaf AAL installed and I did not have any problems. I would call Wheeler's before you write them off.

Wasn't planning to write them off, just meant it was good to know. I know they say 1.5" of lift but is that what you got out of them? I actually don't want that much but this option seems like the best.

I'll get back to you on the lift amount, I think I made a mark on a board somewhere in my garage. It's also a little hard to say exactly how much lift the leafs are responsible for because I removed the overload (I guess just subtract the thickness of overload...). Sounds like you'll want to do the same and remove the overload, which is what Wheeler's recommends anyways

I have after lift measurements in my thread here, but not befores. But we both have 2015s which have the same 3+1 leaf pack. You can compare my after to your current.

You'll get ~1.5" without the factory overload leaf and ~2" with it.

I had the 1.5 Progressive AAL on both my old 2+1 springs and now my new 3+1 recall leafs and got the same amount of lift from both setups.

Here is my current to show clearance. Passenger side rear (behind axel).

Installed the same wheelers AAL on my truck yesterday and ran into the same issue. I had to grid the brackets off in order for it to clear. Mine is a 2012 DCSB as well with the factory 3+1 leaf pack.

I also had to grind off my clips. Which sucked because I had to go out and buy a new grinder lol.

There are tens of us, maybe even dozens! Definitely a good idea to make sure you have to right tools if you're reading this prior to install and think you might have this issue. 1/4" steel with ~1/2" rivet is no joke if you're ill prepared

What is the verdict for 2015 oem leaf springs needing to have a band cut?

So far some seem to fit and some need a clip cut off is what I have come up with.

The icons seem to fit without any problems but the Wheelers seem to be good for some and not for others. I think there must be different springs with clips in different places for some to fit and some to interfere.

It's probably a manufacturing issue or quality control issue. I think they are just not putting the clamps in the same spot on every batch so on some they rub and some not. Could also be the oem leafs also have this issue where sometimes the clips are in different spots. All you can do is try to install what you have if doesn't fit then it's time to cut some metal. If you have a grinder and some patience then it's not that bad. Another member did a write up and had a good approach, first cut the side off the bracket so the leaf will come away from the others, then drill out the top of the rivet and punch it down and out. This way seems to be easier and you don't need a grinder, could use a sawzall to cut the bracket and some drill bits.

You can probably remove the wheel, line up your Icon leaf set to your stock leafs, and see if there will be overlap with the clips. 10 minute exercise that might help you gauge how long your install is going to take

You have an off road which I believe even the 2015's still have the 2+1 leaf pack in the rear, so you shouldn't have an issue with hitting the clips. This seems to be an issue with the TSB leafs.

All 2015s have the 3+1 leafs.

I installed the wheelers hd 3 leaf and it cleared the brackets fine. 2011 o/r. sounds like the moved that bracket 2012 and up?

No looks like it's only on the TSB leafs which older OffRoads do not have.

I have a 2015 off road DCSB and just purchased a set of the Wheelers 3 leaf AAL's. What's the consensus regarding potentially having to deal with this issue? I guess I could do what @Tectonic recommended before diving into the install. Just want to be sure I'm prepared before getting started.
