Yes I fold into 8 sections and go one pass with plenty of waterless sprayed on the panel as I wipe. If I feel the towel is a bit dry, I'll mist the towel a light touch and then go. You should try the Everest...it sounds interesting.

You are clearly over thinking the pressure/physics thing. Lol. Just try the damn towel already. Lol.

    It's turned into an obsession...

Got an applicator from TRC. Made out of the same stuff as the Eagles. Really nice. Not sure what I'll use it for. Maybe spray on/wipe off sealants.

    http://www.walmart.com/ip/Microfiber-Wax-Applicator-Pads-Blue/16817502

I bought a pack of these yesterday morning before I washed/waxed Betty. When I was done I just pitched it in the trash. For that price I'm not going to bother washing it.

Hey the Chinchilla's worked great wiping the wax off. Still like to find some towels just a little lighter in weight. I'm thinking about the below towels.

Those look very similar to the TRC's Everest. Maybe I am over looking it but I don't see the GSM listed.

I highly recommend you don't use your good towels for sealants and coating. Use your creatures and cut them into quarters or so... sealants should be used once and through away. The issues with good sealants and coating is that they will harden up and then eventually scratch the paint. Opticoat I know my detailer throws his towels away after one use.

The other issue is you don't want to use a sponge inside...it absorbs too much product away, but this is a guess on my side. Quality MF that you cut and throw away should be good enough as an applicator unless they provide you one with the purchase of a product.

Wet the sponge or applicator pad first so it does not absorb whatever I'm applying on the paint. (Goes on thinner too!) I have done this since I was a teenager back in the 70's.

Why do you need the sponge at all? Why do you want water into a coating or sealant if the instructions doesn't say to add it? Why not just get a piece of MF or the applicator they give you...usually a thin MF and just apply and buff off the excess?

I don't use a sponge. I use a microfiber pad. I squeeze the water out of my microfiber pad and besides the moisture that is left in the pad will not affect the product I am applying.

You can use whatever you like, I have no problem with that.

    Good day. :)
