Third tail light TRD black matte overlay, Aftermarket 6K HID projector headlights, Smittybilt D-shackle in receiver hitch slot, 17" FUEL Vapor wheels 285/70/17 Nitto Trail Grapplers, Weathertech floorliners w/TRD OFFROAD decals, 3" NFAB textured nerf bars, DEPO black tail lights. black on black perforated leather Clazzio seat covers with custom TRD headrests. TO BE CONTINUED...
Some people have done that and they said it went much easier, to me I don't think it be worth it, it wasn't all that bad IMO. but it doesn't take much to take the seats out either...just an extra step to prob save some cussing and frustration. So if your down for taking seats out- do it ! That way you don't fumble around like a blind man underneath the front seats.

If you've never done it before, taking the seats out is super duper easy. It's 4 14mm bolts, and you just unplug 3 plugs that are underneath. They're all different, so you don't need to worry about which one goes where. Takes all of 5 minutes to take out both front seats.

Installed new driver and passenger side wheel hub bearing assemblies thanks to nj636, also did the ECGS bushing to replace the needle bearing, and removed my diff drop. I really can't believe how smooth every went. It was just time consuming, but wasn't difficult AT ALL. I was pretty intimidated by the thought of pulling the needle bearing and installing the bushing, but believe or not that was easier than the hub assemblies (only because with the hubs I had some stubborn bolts). The hubs are definitely easy as hell too, just takes some time. The needle bearing came right out and the removal tool was easy to seat against the bearing, using a magnet to hold it while you guide it in is key. Took it around the block and engaged 4wd hi and lo and everything worked perfectly. I'll post the results of the vibration elimination from the ECGS bushing when do more driving and some highway driving. My old hubs were fine and I'm sure I could've rode on them for a while longer but I just wanted to knock everything out at once. I think it's gonna be worth the money and hassle.

No kidding. Right after it happened my wife asked me if it would have been as bad with a plate bumper. I told her we would have have been driving it home and it would have saved the grill, transmission cooler, ac condenser, and radiator....so maybe I have an in for one now! :D

LOL! It was jealous it wasn't a deer on the plate...

The fan shroud was touching my oil filter on that side it was pushed so far back.

Not terminal. Got word this afternoon....body shop told my insurance it is repairable and began ordering parts. So far, 4k in visibly damaged parts ordered (OEM), shop anticipates that number at least doubling with additional parts and labor. I asked about a total and they said it was only approximately 50% of the value and my insurance company will only total if it is 70-80% of the value. They said that is one of the "drawbacks" of driving a Toyota...they hold their value forever. I guess I can't complain about a $16-20k valuation of my 9 year old truck with almost 100k miles. The shop said they will have it until at least next Friday.

I have done this twice to two Tacomas. Both times my front end looked almost exactly the same as yours.

1.) a small White Tail Buck a few years ago in my 08 SR5 and it did $8000 in damages.

2.) a White Tail Doe a couple of summers ago in my 13 TRD O/R and did $8000 in damages.

Just a heads up... I tried this a little while back... I cut my leg getting in and out of the truck multiple times in the first couple weeks. Then read through the forums and realized I wasn't the only one. Then the girlfriend cut herself. The tape was off the next day.

If it's not too late to pull it off and re-cut it, I might suggest putting the majority of it towards the interior side of the sliders, rather than evenly over the top. If I tried it again, thats how I'd do it.

Got around to working on my wheels. Not done yet, but a preview of the main color on them. I still have to throw a clear on and do the windows, and inside barrel black. That's why the windows are not perfect or the inside barrels coated completely. The are covered in black

Hard to tell in these pictures but its a custom candy wine I blend in house with a red and silver flake. These will be getting wrapped in some 32" bfg mt kms

Got my Bussman almost finished, got the light bar wires and connectors ready, built a small harness for the ditch lights.
Waiting for my switches to come in and it's going together!

Did the "change the cabin air filter mod" today.

Went with the TYC 80038P filter some peeps recommended. Wife has Amazon Prime so it was here in no time. Did it at the recomendation of the stealership, since they checked it when I got my oil change on Saturday, and wanted $45 for it. YEAH RIGHT BITCHES!

Honestly it wasn't even that bad. Definitely not as bad as some pics I've seen around here, no offense. But, since I have two little munchkins that ride in the truck quite often, I guess better safe than sorry.

Took all of 5 minutes to do, and hardest part was opening the cap thingy to pull the filter out.

I changed the air filter, cabin filter, and installed a center console organizer. Had a slightly manly feeling going on from doing a little work on the truck. Then I got dragged to the furniture store by the wife, and then came out to see this beast parked in front of me. So. much for my manly feeling.image.jpg
