I paid about 38k for my 2015 trd pro with a 6sp manual...and had to travel from Seattle to Las Vegas to get it. It was worth it to me.

Long gone are the days of midsize trucks being bargain vehicles. I guess that's not why people buy them any more.

Seems steep for not much more equipment than a '16 TRD OR. Seriously, trim, stickers, skid plate, special wheels. Did I miss some awesome features? Mag-lev? Teleport winch?

I priced out a F450 today, dually, diesel. 4wd. Base model. Was $51,000

Loaded, with all options, its $82,000

Makes TRD Pro seem pretty cheap...

    Dude that's a 350 dually. You can't compare a tacoma to that!
Whats a fully loaded f150 4xr go for?

    450 actually.

I am not comparing it to a Tacoma. I have a 2017 Pro on order. I was saying, if you look at market prices where trucks are these days, Tacoma prices are right in line. Look at Honda Accord Touring prices today with the V6.....

When I secured my TRD Pro I looked at a loaded 016 TRD OR they had onsite, worked a lease just for giggles! It carried a 73% residual which is ridiculously AWESOME! Not sure where the Pro will come in residual wise once released but for folks who wont mod, drive low miles and want to flip out in 3yrs I would investigate this option. That's $11799 over 36mths on a 43,700 MSRP for a Pro, frikin RAD! The question is "IF" the Pro carries the same residual as a 016 OR?!?

Most people getting the Pro are not smart shoppers anyway so Toyota won't feel much need to be too careful about the price.

    Well that makes sense.
But a TRD PRO is still not even close. That comparison is pickup vs machine.
