    Anyone have any luck getting Recreational plates for their Tacoma? DMV said my truck was too lightweight. I didn't know no better, so had to take their word for it.

    Rec plates are for trucks used non-commercially and weighing less than 10,000 lbs empty. Should qualify

    Yeah thats what the CSR says but she said the Taco is too light...wonder if the fight is worth it. If i Paid $700 for normal plates, are rec plates around ~$500?
