Like most other people, this thread is going to serve as a way to document progress as well as the trips I've taken and plan to take.
**Warning: going to be picture heavy**

    As Taun sits now:

TacomaWorld has been a blessing and a curse at the same time, I'm sure some of you can relate. I've met so many amazing people since joining, and also have experienced some gnarly shit along the way. Oh, and my wallet cries all the time.

    November 22nd:
A week after buying Taun Taun I put on a meet in Southern CA on the Main Divide Trail to Saddleback peak:
    DSC04683.jpg
    DSC04761.jpg
    DSC04704.jpg
    DSC04767.jpg

^We had to plastidip something while up there....(Chair was already there, we didn't dump it)

    December 7th:
The Second trip I went on was to Idyllwild CA:

    DSC04890.jpg
    DSC04917.jpg DSC04957.jpg
    DSC04968.jpg
In hindsight, I should have slept in the truck.

    December 12th:
After these two wheeling trips I finally made it to my first non-wheeling event @ the Stone Brewery in Escondido put on by Sladesdaddy-John

    DSC05056.jpg
    DSC05028.jpg
About 35 trucks I think.. big turnout. Here is where I happen to meet @eccracer104 and his sexy red truck, dubbed...the Cherry Popper

About 2 weeks after this meet, I went out to Gorman for a weekend of camping and wheeling, I was definitely not prepared for what happened that weekend.
I was sitting passenger in another Tacoma that rolled multiple times on a trail, I sustained a fracture to my C4 and some other minor injuries. For those of you that know me, I just want to say thank you for being supportive and throwing positive vibes during my recovery. And for those that were there to help when it happened, I honestly couldn't thank y'all enough. You people are like family.

    DSC05101.jpg DSC05184.jpg

After about 3 months of recovery I could finally start to work on the truck and eventually get back out on the trails.

    Got some work done:
Cleaned and got rear shocks rebuilt
    IMG_0246.jpg
Got the Light bar mounted behind the grill
    IMG_0259.jpg
My father and Mike helped wire up the light bar and these cool flush mounts.

    IMG_0783.jpg IMG_0837.jpg

    IMG_1416.jpg IMG_1418.jpg
    Breather mod also...Super easy

    *****************

After getting some mods done, and finally getting that stupid neck brace off, we headed to one of my favorite places, Joshua Tree, CA

Then....I bit the bullet and got some bumpers. The front bumper was mounted, raw without the hoop for about a month, in that time I went to Big Bear twice :D

The first successful time on Jacoby Canyon...

The second time going to Big Bear was a bit more interesting though...At the downhill portion of Jacoby Canyon, my driver side UCA bolt sheared clean from the spindle and we had to limp me down the hill.. Thank you to everyone who was there to help, you know who you are!

Here are some pics of getting all my armor sanded, painted and lookn' good

    IMG_1920.jpg
surface rust after a month of not being touched while on the truck....
    IMG_1921.jpg
And after I almost tore all the skin off my fingers!

    IMG_1943.jpg
    Before the darkness.IMG_1945.jpg
    IMG_1979.jpg
After the darkness. Used High temp bbq spray paint for some light coats over the radiator. Then just normal paint and primer for the rest.

Sliders were getting a little rusty, so sanded and bedlined them like the front and rear bumpers
Rustoleum Spray Bedliner works fucking great. Hopefully it holds up well

Rear bumper thanks to @FirstGen Jer

Also got my bedside stickers from @CBoy808
Excited and nervous to put them on. I hate when shit is crooked...

Nice thread! Truck's new armor looks awesome, you first genners have great lines for tubes on the front!

I also love the topless truck.
