New Forum Member - New 2016 Tacoma Owner

Hey guys, my name is Colton and I am new to the forum. I just purchased a new 2016 Silver Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4 and look forward to learning more about it on here. I owned a 2015 Camaro that was a lemon and did not want to ever go back to Chevy. I had a 2009 Tacoma before the Camaro and loved how reliable it was. So, after the headache of getting rid of the lemon Camaro, I went back to Toyota and purchased a brand new Tacoma. I understand this is the first model year of the 3rd gen Tacoma's, but knowing it's Toyota, I have a substantial amount of faith it will be a solid build. What have your guys's experiences been with your 2016 Tacoma? Any major issues? I just hit 400 miles on mine today and it seems to be running well. As long as it stays out of trouble, I plan on keeping this truck forever. Do you guys recommend me do anything with it right away for protection? I am not sure how new the paint is so I am holding off on waxing/buffing it right away. As for mods, I probably won't do anything real crazy. Might get the TRD Toyota exhaust tip and some black stickers to put in the stamped Tacoma letters on the tailgate. Also considering a running board to get in and out easier. It would also be nice to kick my feet on in the winter to knock snow off before getting in. Do you guys prefer running boards? Looking at pictures, it really changes the look of these 2016's not sure if I will get them or not... Anyways, let me know what you guys think!
