It works with mine with no issue. I do have to make sure it's in the corner closest to the front passenger seat.

Maybe not wait for the 5k, give the dealer a call, I am not so thrilled with Qi as a viable mobile technology as of today....your in the mold....me too with a iphone4....which is not compatible....

What do you do when your in the rough? if a major corporation implements a value add technology ...number one when it is not supported by the biggest manufacturer of mobile...be it apple...why make it so difficult to use? If it works for you be glad, first release for this application as far as I know is something maybe in beta if not alpha release....

Do I have to do anything in either settings of my phone or the truck?

By that rationale our cupholders are flawed technology as well.

It is not difficult to use at all. Apple doesn't support it because they like to keep things proprietary so they can make extra money (lightning cable, anyone?). I guarantee within the next couple of phone releases Apple with have wireless charging, probably called "apple charge" since they are so creative and they will claim it's brand new tech and charge $100+ for a charger.

You have to push the Qi button on your dash. You don't need to do anything on the phone. Just lay it in there on its back. You may need to position it more to the left or the right depending on which direction the phone is facing.

Really that has nothing to do with apple being compatible with Qi, or as you say Toyota not being compatible with Apple, lets just lay that down. The issue as the OP stated was a compatible device that will not work with Qi in his Sport. The mention of apple is superfluous for the sake conversation. Work that one down, i don't think putting the phone exactly on the pad in a certain orientation is the right answer.

I wish we we were not talking about a $2 bottle of water, any idea what you paid for that Qi technology to be installed in your truck?
