Replaced all the cabin and reverse lights with LEDs. Couldn't be any happier with a $40 mod !

285s on stock lift is asking for trouble. You will have to do a lot of trimming. Not going to workout, there's a guy who mounted them on the 3rd gen section and it rubbed and scuffed everywhere. Hitting a simple speed bump at like 5mph will make you want to take them off or lift immediately.

I think it can be done with 2 things. The right offset and a smaller sidewall. I have 265/70/17 on 8" wheels with +10 offset. I did a little trigonometry with my existing setup and clearances. I plan on going 8.5" wheels in 18" or 20" with a low profile. Certainly not 70 or 75. My inside clearance is huge. I am probably at the safe limit out even with the fender. I know I can go 275 at a 55-60 profile on 18's and maybe 285 at a 50 profile on 20's. That is still with a +6 to +12 or +15 offset. I figure if I pull the trigger the worst that can happen is putting spacers up top to level the front if not just installing 5100"s..

What about 275/70R17 on stock height?

Thank you. I have done about 40 mods. I should probably start a build page but almost everything I have done can be found on TW. The front is about 1" lower than the original picture. I had to lower the front due to CV joint angle issues. So it is now 3" instead of the original 4". Here are your requested pics:

All I can tell you is mine now sits 1" farther away from engine than stock and does not rub any. I have an extra 1/2" of clearance inside over stock. With me changing to 8.5" wide +10 with 275/60/18 I am reducing the radius by 1/4" and the tire will sit 1/4" out and in more than they do now thus no added concerns. I think the 275/70/17 diameter is too big for stock +30 offset wheels and the inside corners will rub. It is going to depend on your wheel offset choice IMO.

I have that size on mine in BFG K02s. I put them on the day before I installed my lift. Rubs bad! Even with a 3" lift and removal of the mud flaps, it still rubs slightly with a large bump.
