    Hi all, I'm looking to get new plugs put in my 3.4l v6 with the TRD supercharger. From what I gather, the supercharger needs to be removed to get to a couple of the plugs. I'm not confident in doing that myself, so I'd like to have a shop do it. Preferably one that knows what they're doing.

    Anyone here know of any shops in the Los Angeles area that are familiar with working on the TRD supercharger?

    The last two Toyota dealerships I went to told me they weren't familiar with it so I'd like to avoid taking it to them if I can help it.

    Thanks

    Okay so you do not need to remove the supercharger to do the plugs.
    Denso plugs
    step colder
    Ik20=2 steps
    Ik22=2 step colder
    Ik24=3 steps

    I would reccomend ik22.

    If you had to remove the supercharger it takes like 30 mins.
    You do not need to remove it at all though

    Ok good to know. I have the plugs already, might try to give it a shot on my own. I had read somewhere on here that the s/c had to come off to do one or two of the plugs, but I'll give it a closer look.

    For the sake of the thread though (in case I need to know for the future), do you know of a good shop out here that does work on the TRD s/c? @anthony250f

    Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
    @eon_blue I may know a guy... he told me they install the 2nd gen's supercharger so he MIGHT be familiar with the 1st gen?
