Wondering if there is padding/soundproofing under the carpet?
My son got watermelon juice into the carpet on the passenger side (let a watermelon roll free for 100 miles on back roads) and I can't seem to get the foul odor out. Starting to think it's in a underlayer???

Thanks for the quick response. Now does anyone know the best way to remove the plastic door plate that holds down the carpet on that edge? I think if I can remove that I will be able to lift up the carpet enough to get at the stinky areas of the pad and cut it out, then clean or replace it.

Hopefully lifting, spraying from underside with OdoBan, and fan till dry will work..... If not I'll go further.

 Good idea. I have always heard fire should always come last in the process.
