How does that happen? Apparenly he failed to follow the road as it made a gentle curve. And during daylight. I suppose distracted driving would be most likely.

Hopefully there were skid marks to prove it wasn't a brake or mechanical failure of some kind.

    Heart breaking tragedy

Those old Ford Galaxies were pretty tough, good thing you never got to see just how tough.
Nothing in the article to indicate mechanical failure, could have been health related, but whatever it was, accidents do happen even under the best of circumstances.
    Prayers for the family

He sounds a lot like a guy I know up close and personal and can't get rid of...
    Me!
Glad you quit drinking, nothing good ever comes of it. I restrict my self to 1-2 drinks top and don't miss it on the days I run dry.
Not good health wise either, lots of health problems come from it, hence two drinks if any is plenty nuff.

God bless that family's surviving members, all our vets , you and your family I thank you for your service.

Well the brake failure and CPS threads are hard to ignore. They both affect safety in less than ideal situations. It's all in the realm of possibilities of what actually happened in the incident. Only an investigation can find the root cause.

Do yourself a favor and ignore that guy like I did. He's condescending and a blind homer who refuses to accept anything could be wrong with his precious Tacoma. In fact, this would be a more fitting profile picture for him. It even matches his truck

I'm not stirring the pot. There are threads with owners saying their 3rd gens nearly killed them because of those known issues. It's hard to ignore as a possibility.
