Hey all, I've got a quick question here. I've got an 05 and my suspension is on its last legs. I'm having front and rear shocks with the springs on the front from a 3rd gen TRD offroad sent to me. I've read that this will give me about 1" of lift in the front. My leafs are damn near flat at this point so I'm thinking I may as well replace those while I'm at it.

My question is what is a good leaf pack to go with? I'd like to be level ideally, but wouldn't mind some rake, I just don't want to be leaning back. Any suggestions?

Edit: Also I'm not sure if I need uca's? I thought I read they're only needed if lifting more than 3", but I'm also not sure if the 2nd gen uca's are compatible with 3rd gen shocks?

    Thanks in advance.

Pretty much all the same suspension wise, first I'm hearing about 3rd gen coils adding an inch, be surprised if they do, depending on how much hauling/offroading you'd get by with a good AAL...

Gotcha. The issue I'm having is my leafs are basically flat, they're pretty much done, so I was thinking if I'm down there changing parts out, I might as well throw a new leaf pack in since I need a new one anyway

Obviously go aftermarket on leaf replacement, Toyota's tradition of shitty soft springs lives on since 1995.5 & 3rd gens are no exception.....;)

I've heard of Geneal Springs (pretty sure that's what they're called) and there's Dakar that'll give it a little lift, and if you don't like so much lift, you can take out a leaf if you want.

Well if $$$ wasn't an issue I'd get with National Spring & have them build a custom pack ($1000 +) I know, me neither haha, can't go wrong with Deaver (unless someone tries to stick you with the J66, stay away at all cost !)
    Allpro/Alcans are good too...

This is my taco with billys set at 1.75 on the front, and a wheelers HD 5 pack in the rear, My fender measurements in the rear are 22 inches to center of the hub, that's with the leer cap on the truck. the truck is an 08 trd sport.

I like the ride of the Wheelers 5 pack, they are softer than I figured they would be.

EDIT: I dont have aftermarket UCAs, the alignment shop said that my stock suspension would not align properly if the shocks were set any higher than 1.75. Which was fine for me because thats what I wanted them at :) So to answer your question I think you need aftermarket UCAs to properly align billys set at 3 in the front

After I scale them to the shiny steel, then dog-ear the leafs, paint to taste...;)
