I really liked the old style mud flaps on the 1st gen. I'm not a fan of the hard plastic ones. Are the Toyota ones any good for the 3rd gen?

Are there any quality options like the old style that anyone knows of?

Aren't Weathertechs cheaper and I think Husky is making some now aren't they?

Weathertech are stiff molded plastic like OEM and pricy. Plasticolor are rubber flexible and about $20 a pair

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Do you plan to actually wheel it?

You'll rip them off and probably damage the fender flares while you're at it.

I may be one of a kind... I think if you have a 4x2 and are not running oversized AT tires that mud flaps are unnecessary. My SR5 is basically a city truck and doesn't need them.

The plasticolor should rip away without any major damage. I avoided the heavier duty stiff flaps for this reason

Well, after 200,000 miles on my 2003, the original mudflaps were still there... I use my truck off road for firewood and stuff, and go some interesting places, but no I don't climb rocks or mud bog if I can help it. :)
