    stock, for now
I went to one years ago and it was fun. Haven't had the time for wharton clean up since. I always laugh at the people who dump metal in the woods, free money!

Good job OP, wish there was more like you.

I used to go shoot in Northern Idaho in a gravel pit in the woods. It was a cool spot but people used to come dump microwaves and other bullshit and shoot it up and leave. The state ended up hiring a cleaning crew, cleaned up all the trash, tilled up the dirt and cleaned up the feet of spent brass. The even installed signs designating it a shooting area and to please clean up after yourself. Weeks later the place was a shit hole and the signs were shot up. This is why we can't have nice things.

Public land abuse seems to be an ongoing problem. I own 20 wooded acres, surrounded by another 350 wooded acres. All the land is unoccupied at this time. It never fails, I clean up broken bottles, beer cans on MY land (which has a gate and fence around front accessable side) and a week later I find more bottles and cans on the land. I have put up trail cams and such, but to date I have not caught anyone yet. I will be building and moving onto the land in the next 12 months. I can't wait to hear the excuses for people being assholes on my land once I live there. I think the best way to deal with it is to give people options...hand them a plastic bag and tell them they can go around and collect the garbage they have thrown on my land or I can call the sheriff's department and they deal with the trespassing violation and unlawful dumping charge...seems like an easy choice.
