I got to argue with an officer 2 days ago because he pulled me over for having expired tags. I explained to him that I had payed my registration the week before and was waiting for the stickers, he ran my info and then wouldn't tell me what it said, I even showed him the email from the DMV stating my registration was paid. He tried to vengeance ticket the truck (exposed lights on front -covers in the backseat. Tires to far out-flared fenders, lets get a tape measure, officer). I am always extremely respectful and calm when dealing with LEOs, since I know being a douche just equals more tickets, I think dude was having a bad day. I ended up requesting a supervisor because he kept pressing the registration thing and finally he said I was free to go and that wasn't necessary. Wowza.

The good deed part was really worthwhile, fabulous that this outdoor opportunity (Camp Nejedly) is offered to special-needs people in a setting like that.
Hilarious to see the bed of @tyfoon11 truck on the return trip running the trail loaded up like the Beverly Hillbillies. Our route home via Poker Flat is where we demonstrated again why we can't have nice things and no one should follow me anywhere.

Bummed I wasn't able to make that @EDDO my girl was not thrilled at the idea of waking up at 4am.

Is that an annual event? I'd love to plan it out for next year!

Yeah, rolled out of San Jose at 03:30 . It is an annual and they need help over three successive weekends each summer. I'll put something up for 2017 when I know.

everyone told me my 600s would be too soft for the 4runner with the V8 but so far its done well. Driven 600 miles on them already, id say they're settled. Weird to see the differences with the tacoma/4runner and the additional v8 weight.

They ride great. But IMO the only problem I see is when you launch your rig at pismo the 600's may be too soft on landing.

very possible. I try not to launch it just because its not LT but some "accidental" leaps do happen. Will be interesting to see what happens.

But i hope i never have to adjust these Kings again, what a serious pain in the ass.

Really? Mine adjusted pretty easy with 700's. I just jacked it up and used plenty of WD-40. But then again I was going down not up

yeah, bent three hardened 5/16 punches and had to use the spanner but 1/4 turn at a time and really had to put my body into it. Seriously never adjusted something that was this difficult.

Took 5 full turns upward for each side for it to be good height for my set up.

I loved the ride with the 600's, but the springs deflected and were rubbing the shock body. I thought the ride was too stiff at first with the 700's. I've gotten used to them and they feel great now. I have more weight than you though. Front & back, and side to side.

700's no preload rides like a Cadillac! Although that's probably gonna change next week when I mount my winch image.jpg
