Where is the Brake Controller wiring harness? Something plugged into it already?

    Hi all,

I'm working on installing a new brake controller for my truck and I'm having trouble finding the wiring harness that my controller attaches to.

I have the tow package, have owned the truck since it was new and have the pigtail for the connection.

From what I've read, it seems that the connector for the brake controller is that larger white harness that has a big black harness connected to it? I have no idea why something would be connected to it though. Is it that smaller white harness on the left? That one doesn't seem consistent with the wires it should have coming out of it.

My phone got a much better look for these photos. It's hard for me to see much or feel around in there as there's not a lot of space.

Please let me know if one of those is the harness or if I'm looking in the wrong place.

These photos are taken above the drivers side kick plate near your left foot where the e-brake and dead peddle are.

    Thanks in advanced!

    - Jack

    A lot of stuff.
I'm glad I didn't have to find it, Camper World had to locate it when then installed my brake controller. They came back to like 3 times asking where it was.. I told them it's under there.. you just need to find it.. sure glad they did...

I ended up having the dealer find it, and the kid at the dealer had to go watch the YouTube video for HIM to find it. I think I actually had it, it was taped to the main harness, up high, and it was covered with foam and tape. There's a couple of other plugs in there that aren't the right one, you have to match it with the pigtail.
