I just got my Tacoma back from the dealership where they replaced the AC compressor/clutch, & belt. Took it back once because only the driver's side vent was cold - they found the expansion valve filter was clogged so they cleaned it out and told me all was good. Well, I can still tell a big difference in the temperature of the air coming out of the vents (warmer as I go from left to right) so I called back to see if the condensor should also be replaced and the guy said no, it's just because it's extra hot here right now. I'v ebeen researching this online and found where it is highly recommended that the condenser be replaced when the compressor is on this model because the condenser is a "condenser and drier assembly" that can't properly be flushed. Has anyone else had this experience? What do you recommend? The system is also shutting itself on and off - just started that - I just picked it up from the dealership yesterday.

Yes they finally got it fixed by replacing the condenser and the expansion valve also. They had also become clogged with debris from the failed compressor. They said the reason it was only blowing cold on the driver's side was because it wasn't working at 100% and it goes to the driver's side first. Works like a charm now - but it should after the price they charged me! Good luck with yours.
