What kind of offroading do you anticipate doing? Intended use generally dictates what will work best for your truck.

I agree with Toytec...5100s if you have 300-400 to spend. Awesome. Had them on my Tundra and it was night and day compared to stock...well worth it for me and the Tundra was for utility and street.

    - Define -too expensive. $500, $1000, $1500 ???-
    - Where do you use your truck most of the time and where would you like to perform better ?? - off road, street ??
    - Any future plans ??- add bigger tires, wheels ??

At least by telling us what is your budget we can can tell you what you can buy.

Remember, what is good for me may not be good enough for you. You have to give us a little bit more info in order to be able to help you.

I would like to spend less than 1200 on the whole thing, i go to a ranch everyday to feed animals and take care of work so it is used on dirt, mud,and gravel twice a day everyday. I intend to do some offroading in the snow and some hill trails. in the future i would like to get some bigger tires for offroading maybe some 30's but thats not my priority right now

Looks like the money is more then enough for what you want to do. You will hear and see here more then one option. Rmember that all of the suggestion are based on personal experiences and (or) preference. You have to be realistic and base yor decision on your future use of vehicle and your budget.
I, personally, have Icon's with reservoir in the front and EMU in the rear. I have experience with both and I can tell you that they are both EXCELENT products.

The difference is that Icon's are adjustable in height and EMU are not (talking about the front one) but quality wise are both good enough to last the truck life time in normal use ( taking about street use). If you ask me - are the Icon's,all most twice the price wort it ???= I would say -NO. But this was my presonal choice, I was able to afford them ($), I want to have them and I am verry happy with them. My decission was based on the fact that- with Icon's, I could keep the OEM height also have a superior shock able to handle all most any situation. I also use them in my 05 for 4.5 years with out one complain.

Yesterday night we installed a complete EMU set up (front and rear) on my friend FJ CRUISER.
I am not familiar with the other products that the other guys are sugesting here there for I can not coment on it but, this, (the EMU set up ) is pretty good if not excellent stuff for $700 he paid. For Tacoma may be a little bit more Money because you need springs in the back and not coils.

I have to recognize also that- the Toytec kit is an excellent deal for what they are asking and what they are giving you.

You may want to check you tires because, if I am not mistaken, you all ready have 30" there. Depending on, if you have TRD or not. I don't know what tires you have but my oem tires where pretty bad on any road not only mud. Tires may be something that you may have to replace quicker then expected if you want a peace of mind. You can have the best suspenssion ,,,, if you don't have the right tires ,,,, you are not moving nowhere.

Try to read a little bit more in the forum, about the experience the people have with all of them (good or bad) and not necesarily, about what they suggest..
Is not important what I,He or She sugests. Is more important -what you can afford, what you are going to use them for and what would convince you that you stroke a good ballance (quality, comfort, reliability).

I hope this is not going to confuse you more and Good luck with your decission also enjoy what ever your choice is going to be.
