You are right. We call this a key off test. A few hours after shut off it burps the system and checks for leaks. Technically it doesn't keep fumes from leaking. The system is sealed already supposedly. It tests itself to make sure it's sealed. That's why a check engine light can come on in the am because it failed the key off test twice.

Not tonight.
Made a decision and we're going to take the lotus to limerock at the beginning of next month.
Don't really want to but he's just going to burn some hot laps and put it out there for sale.
So we took it out and fired it up and warmed it up.
Will need to start nut and bolting it and getting it ready.
I did cut the plate for the pickup.
No nice corners, nice paint , or anything. I'm trying to build it for a total of free dollars.Like they did back,in the early 1900's. I'm scraping and scrounging for everything . Beg ,borrow ,steal ,barter, trade.
Donations, give aways . Every finger print I put on it will stay. Every dent when I drop it.
It's all about the journey....

 

Chris, sorry to hear you are not healed up yet, but guess it's a good thing that you don't have to go back to work. Take it easy and hopefully you'll regain full usage in the near future. Sorry buddy.... Work sucks, but being in pain and not well is far worse. Not being able to enjoy what you like to do is cruel. Hope the best for you..

My driving mode is absolute. If I got back in it would be certain divorce. I have to do things right. It would Cost me everything I have to go racing again. So I work on them, tweak them. The thing is, I could drive any of the race cars at anytime.
