Check engine light came on, bad bank 1 O2 sensor, time to change it.

parts store wanted $150+, I managed to save a bit by going to Amazon.

Here's the sensor as it arrived. part number from WALKER: 250-54007

Here's the location of the sensor. Passenger side, between the exhaust manifold and the catalytic converter. The nut is a 22MM

New sensor was considerable longer than the old one, but no big deal.

    Old vs New.

Remember to coat the threads of the new sensor with anti-seize lubricant and the prongs of the plug in with dielectric grease.

Thread the new sensor in and plug in the connector.

Disconnect your battery to reset the check engine light, and there you have it. Job done and problem solved.

Thanks for the write up. What was the code P?? I've heard people have had trouble with anything but OEM - no problem with the aftermarket Walker obviously. I had a O2 sensor replaced on my gen 1 and it didn't clear the code - the mechanic said I needed a cat but got another O2 sensor first and that worked - NEW means Never Ever Worked - some brand new parts just out of the box R NG.
