BAMF 3rd Gen Recessed Raptor Style Grille

I just asked before ordering a day ago and Jerry said 8-12 weeks.

 

HOLY SHIT NEVER MIND....$108 for shipping charges on top of the $525 for the grille that will be close to a 8-12 week wait. BAMF needs to get into the Shark Tank...

 

That's nothing, I waited 9 months for my 2nd Gen grill from homertaco. It takes patience to acquire the best

 

more upset at the shipping costs more than anything...RAD industries makes a real nice insert for $100 cheaper and $30 fixed shipping.

 

You have to pay a premium for the recessed look. A LOT more R&D goes into making a recessed vs a flush grill. Plus the RAD grill will not sell them without their logo cut into it (deal breaker for me, that looks super tacky where they put it) and does not include a black bezel ($130 cost) which is not needed for the BAMF grill.

 

And .... to me there is NO doubt the BAMF grille is the better looking one. YES the RAD logo cut into the grille definitely looks tacky as well. And as mentioned above .. you need the black surround (not included) with the RAD grille insert. Looking at a comparison picture and its EASY for me to decide ...

 

Point is made loud and clear after this comparison...i guess let the waiting begin

 

They ship in a big! The box it self is $12.00 bucks. We charge 10% over what it cost for us to print the label most of the time that doesn't even cover the cost of the packing material let alone to 30 plus minutes it takes to pack the part.

 

Those 4 small lights you added to the grille look badass ... can you elaborate what exact lights you used (size,brand etc) and are they the bolt type that you just have through the openings in grill and then have a nut on the back of them? LOOKS AWESOME !

 

Man it looks like i need to start making a flat one as well $430.00 shipped for a flat grille would be SOOOOO much easier then the 6+ hours labor each one of our grille inserts has into them.

 

I'm sure there is no waiting for the flush grille either. Who wants that crap?

 

If ours were flush we would of had them all done 5 months ago with a pocket full of money! Humm maybe our grille wasn't the best business decision? But it sure does look good!

 

therein lies the difference between people who treat their work as art and people who treat their work as a product to make money.

 

But the look of yours is that makes it better IMO. I plan on getting one of yours when the budget allows after receiving my truck. If it looked like the RAD one, I'd still be looking...

@JLee Just a thought, do you have business cards, probably a dumb question, lol.
Only had mine on for 4 days now and have had 2 want to know where to get one.
Was thinking if you had some business cards maybe throw a few in with each order.

10 - 3/4" Round, LED Amber Mini Grommet Mount Truck Trailer Light
I bought them on Amazon for $24.00 for a set of 10. I then ground the housings down on 2 sides with a bench grinder so they would fit into grill slots, then used some automotive adhesive to secure them from behind, wired them up and that's it. No drilling or modifying the grill at all. Search amazon or E-bay and you should be able to find them. Thank you for the positive comment. Not for everybody but then again individuality is the spice of life. Live, love, have fun, spend money.......

 

Just ordered. Was debating between the TRD Pro grill, and the BAMF. Wasn't sure if the white letters would be too much. Your pics convinced me.

 

Installed last night, installation took 30 min,last pick is where the stock grill belongs!! Quality was spot on, sorry for busting your balls JLee, this was my first time doing business with BAMF. Just been burnt in the past from other people selling mods for vehicals. This took along time but it was well worth the wait!! Thanks Again
