    The good news in all of this...I can almost hear the resale value going up on my 2014. Hopefully Toyota steps up and takes care of those who jumped on a 'new' 2016 Tacoma...new gears and a check, trade them in for a 2017, something.

    Yeah, I really don't see what is so great about a power sliding rear window. Had one on my last truck for the 10+ years I owned it, it was the least of my worries losing it by coming to the Tacoma. 95% of the time I used it because I was lazy...I could sit in my front seat and roll it down to auto wipe the morning dew/fog off of it so I could see out the back window when reversing (now the Taco has a backup camera). The other 5% of the time I used it, I had to open the front door, turn accessory mode on, roll it down, then walk back to the bed of the truck anyways to load the items through it.

    It was convenient though if I wanted to uproot all of the dog hair in the truck and whirlwind it every which way throughout the cabin, it sure did a great job of that.

    I hardly ever drive with my windows down though, so I don't know.

    I live in Southern California, every day is a nice day. If I want to enjoy the weather outside I get in my truck, go somewhere and do something. If I'm cruising slow off road, yeah I'll roll the windows down sometimes, but I don't need to be reminded of the nice weather going 40 mph down the street or 70-80mph down the highway.

    @smitty99 thanks for this thread. I'm not sure where it stands but I think a few people had to be talked off the ledge at some point, a few orders for new manuals were cancelled and a few orders for AT were placed to beat the rush :rofl::rofl::rofl:
