    upgraded my wheels and tires
I have a 2008 Toyota Tacoma pre-runner without an oem daytime running light after 2 years I searched and found how to install a DRL and luckily until now still working. I forgot where did I search maybe on this website. now am upgrading my headlights because the lens are fading. so I bought the one with halo projector with a LED. I planned to connect the LED as Daytime Running Light but my problem is the Turn Signal Light was wired together with the DRL and I want to use the LED as the DRL. can any body help me how to separate the wirings of the DRL to that of the Turn Signal Light? Thanks!

There is no separation...the relay receives a ground path via the cab fuse box (BECU) which grounds the forward turn signals. When turn is selected then it switches to blinking. At headlight select the BECU switches off the DTRL feature.

If you have a towing relay you could tap into that and have those wires go into the turn signals and have the turn signal wires removed and then hook those to the new headlamp LED halo's.

You could tap into the IGN wire in the fuse box to have them on upon ignition, but you'd have to return to your post non-DTRL mode (remove harness and relay install junction block and 8 pin flash relay) or else you'll have both the turn signals and the LED's on.
